You can find our beautiful reindeer, Dancer, Holly and Comet, roaming around, or coming up to the fence to say hello because they think you have a treat for them!
Chewie loves to get in your personal space!
Chewie wasn’t supposed to come to Hopefield – he was meant to be sold because he was ‘pretty’. The sanctuary received a call about a lady who had gone on holiday and left her 3 alpacas with a friend. When she returned, the alpacas had mange and were severely underweight. She agreed to give us two of them. When his friends arrived at Hopefield, we pulled down the trailer to see that Chewie was with them! She had changed her mind and given us him too – were so happy to be able to give them the home and care they needed. Chewie is such a happy alpaca and loves being with all the others. He loves grated carrot and sugar beet!
